Join the movement to help end sexual violence. On Saturday, May 27, 2017 at the Mississippi State Capitol, families from across the state will participate in Walk a Mile in Her Shoes®, The International Men’s March to Stop Rape, Sexual Assault & Gender Violence.
Registration: 8:00 am
Opening: 9:00 am
Walk Begins: 9:30 am
Reception: 11:00 am
We are inviting families to participate in a one-mile walk to raise awareness around the issues of rape, sexual assault and gender violence. This march empowers men to join in the efforts of women, by literally walking in high heels, to make our communities a safer place to live, and it provides an opportunity for communities to talk about these important issues.
Each walker is encouraged to dress in red and wear red high heel shoes (optional) and asked to make a tax-deductible donation of $10 (Individual) $40 (Team) to help the Mississippi Coalition Against Sexual Assault continue efforts to bring awareness and prevent sexual violence in our communities.
